Camp Dream Goes Green

Students at Westland Middle School in Bethesda have created "Growing for Good" to support this year's camp theme, "Camp Dream Goes Green." In March the students sowed seeds donated by America the Beautiful. The seedlings thrived beyond expectation in science teacher Alison Lepard's classroom. A plant sale held April 21 brought in over $700 for Perry Center -- and the sale continues thanks to seedlings that won't quit and the generosity of the Westland community! The U.S. State Department covered Growing for Good in an article on their international website, America.gov.
